Born in East London, Colin Merrin studied at Maidstone College of Art, Kingston University and University of London, Institute of Education. He is a member and studio holder at Art Space, Portsmouth.
Colin has exhibited regularly in solo and group shows all over the United Kingdom and Europe since 1981. Essentially an oil painter, he is also an established watercolourist, elected to the Royal Watercolour Society in 2009 and has work in numerous collections including that of HM the Queen.
